RE.STANCE - A Sensory Escape ft. Upcycled Art

Type @ The Combine is back for its second run. If you miss your first class now's your chance! Whether you're sharpening your type design skills or diving in for the first time, this 8-week course is your ticket to expert guidance and hands-on learning.

June 13 - August 1 (8 weeks program)
Saturdays 10AM - 4PM

If your ever wanted to dabble or get seriously into type, this course was made for you! Join us in the only type course in Toronto, for a summer of typographic fun, and commiserate over your o's and s's while eating some pizza.

This course is taught by Jamie Chang. Jamie runs Manic Type, and also teaches workshops and courses internationally and at OCADU.

We are super excited to announce the launch of Jamie Chang's first in-person type design course at The Combine! The course will be hosted at @thecombine_, and will run from Jan 10th - Feb 28th 2026 (8 weeks, 42 hours total).

You’ll learn the full process of making a typeface, from calligraphy and sketching, to digitizing your design in the Glyphs app, to the ins and outs publishing your own typefaces.

The course will be limited to 12 participants. No advanced type design knowledge required.

Type Design

Statistically, the first time many men receive flowers is at their funeral. We’d like to change that!

The workshop is for men and anyone who wants to make flowers for the men in their life, and for those who are curious about trying something creative, even if they’ve never done anything like this before.

Arrive 10 minutes early, grab a drink, settle in

You’ll be working with a curated selection of long-lasting blooms and fresh greenery to create your own arrangement to take home.

Combine is a reimagined workspace and community hub exploring what an office can be, do, and mean. They collaborate with like-minded brands and artists to host takeovers, gatherings, and experiences.

Two Whimsical Florists is a Toronto-based floral studio specializing in long-lasting, design-forward arrangements and installations. They work across weddings, events, and creative projects, with a focus on approachable design and encouraging people to try florals in ways that feel accessible.

FIND returns with a mission to help us slow down and rediscover a sense of wonder. We're excited to be hosting Montreal-based artist Max’s first solo exhibition right here at The Combine.

This May, The Combine welcomes Max of Signs and Crimes for a month-long exhibition and blends typography, illustration, and hand-painted techniques.

Max’s work includes text-based pieces, graphic works, and custom signs.

The exhibition takes place from May 8 to June 4, with works available for purchase throughout.

Davie Studios Presents: Acid Jazz Vol.15 ft. Insyt

Acid Jazz is our live series where Jazz and Hip-Hop collide — bringing improvisation, groove, and classic Hip-Hop reimagined for the stage. Each volume features a rising MC performing alongside our house band, blending original material with live interpretations of some of our favourite Hip-Hop classics.

For Volume 15, we’re thrilled to welcome Insyt as our guest MC. A member of the rising Hip-Hop collective 4DaTribe, Insyt has been making waves internationally, and we’re excited to experience his music live in this intimate setting.

After joining us as a special guest during our Outkast jam with Listening Room, Insyt returns by popular demand — this time front and centre at Bevy Combine. He’ll showcase his sharp lyricism alongside our all-star house band:

Expect an unforgettable night of live improvisation, Hip-Hop classics, and original music.

Acid Jazz Vol. 15

For this upcoming competition, designers will be tasked with creating ready to wear looks using pre-existing garments. These garments might have been previously discarded or overlooked, but designers will have the opportunity to breathe new life into them with their visionary concepts and designs.

Selected designers will have two live, 8-hour working days to perfect their craft. This will be followed by a Grand Finale Runway Show. The audience will have the chance to cast their votes and determine the ultimate winner.

This workshop is for anyone who wants a dedicated session to create their vision notebook with all materials provided, optional guided prompts, and the flexibility to work independently while alongside others.

The session will include an optional sharing period at the end for those who want to reflect.

Whether you're new to vision planning or a seasoned creator, this workshop offers a blend of structure and freedom.

An open space with materials readily available, guidance, and facilitator support when needed
