Caked with Kwento

The word “Kwento” means story in Tagalog, and for Kwento Cakes founder and master cake artist Shannon, it couldn’t be more true. The Combine had the pleasure of hosting Kwento and Baileys for a night of cake decorating and grow-up beverages. 

Born out of the pandemic, Kwento puts a Filipina spin on classic cake flavors. This evening’s choice was Red Velvet with Baileys drizzle giving all 40 participants a unique base to start decorating. Stencils, cakes, and (gasp) a sprinkles bar were provided as well as two unique cocktails specially designed for the event by Baileys. 

Spending the evening drinking Baileys cocktails and decorating cakes? That might seem strange to some, but it’s actually a typical Tuesday night at The Combine.
